Health Tools

I’ve spent the last 12 years in the holistic health space. Essential oils were my gateway into something that eventually became a lifestyle for me and my family—not a trend or a phase, but a shift in how we care for ourselves day to day.

Over time, my default has become oils and thoughtfully chosen supplements, paired with simple tools that support how the body was designed to function. I’m always looking for ways to use the gifts God gave us in creation to steward our health well—supporting the body instead of fighting it, and choosing rhythms that feel sustainable in real life.

This page is a snapshot of what we’re loving right now. No rules, nothing mandatory, just a few things we’re intentionally choosing to thrive as we age. These are the tools we’re actually using as we learn to care for our bodies with intention and consistency.

Essential Oils

Essential oils were my entry point into holistic health, and they’re still one of our most-used tools today. What started as curiosity grew into a daily rhythm—diffusing, topical use, emotional support, and creating simple cues for rest, focus, and calm.

I love oils because they meet you where you are. They don’t demand perfection or a complicated routine. They quietly support the body and nervous system while fitting into real life—busy mornings, long workdays, and slow evenings alike.

For us, oils aren’t about fixing everything. They’re about consistent, gentle support using what God placed in creation to care for our bodies well.

Supplements

Supplements are where I focus on foundational support, not quick fixes. These are tools we use consistently to support metabolic communication, cellular nutrition, and hormone balance—especially in seasons of stress, shifting energy, or changing needs.

  • Balance & Burn supports how the body communicates around blood sugar, metabolism, and energy over time.

  • NingXia Red is our daily non-negotiable for antioxidant support and cellular nutrition.

  • Daily Hormone Essentials offers adaptogenic support for women navigating real-life hormone demands, not ideal circumstances.

I approach supplements as part of a bigger picture—listening to the body, staying consistent, and allowing time for support to actually work.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy is one of those tools that feels almost too simple for how powerful it can be. We use it to support cellular energy, recovery, and overall vitality—often layered into things we’re already doing.

This might look like wearing a red light mask while reading, stretching, or winding down at night. I also wear it while at my desk, walking on my walking pad, and on my vibration plate. I love tools that don’t require extra time, just better use of the time we already have.

We have a Krypton panel in our walk-in closet for full body therapy, and a small Firefly unit for mobile use around the house and targeted body support.

I choose EMR-TEK for red light because their devices deliver the right wavelengths and power output backed by real scientific standards—not the diluted or mislabeled versions you often find in quick Amazon buys. Quality matters when you’re investing in cellular support, and a trusted system like EMR-TEK ensures you’re getting consistent, therapeutic light instead of a guess.

And you can use discount code ERINMILES to save even more.

Movement & Drainage

Movement doesn’t have to be intense to be effective. Our focus is frequent, gentle movement that supports circulation, lymphatic drainage, and metabolic health throughout the day.

Using a walking pad with a standing desk allows movement to happen naturally while working. A pedometer helps with awareness—not pressure. The vibration plate supports drainage and circulation in short, manageable sessions. We’ll be adding a rebounder into the mix in early 2026 as another low-impact way to support lymphatic flow.

Walking Pad (paired with a standing desk)

  • Encourages consistent, low-level movement throughout the day, which supports circulation and glucose regulation without stressing the nervous system.

  • Helps counteract the effects of prolonged sitting by keeping joints, hips, and muscles gently engaged.

  • Supports metabolic health by increasing daily step count in a way that feels natural, not forced.

  • Makes movement part of existing work rhythms rather than something that requires extra time or motivation.

Vibration Plate

  • Stimulates circulation and lymphatic movement through gentle mechanical vibration.

  • Can support muscle engagement and postural awareness even in short sessions.

  • Useful for drainage support, especially when movement feels limited or energy is low.

  • Offers a low-impact option for supporting the body without adding strain or fatigue.

Rebounder (coming Q1 2026)

  • Provides gentle, rhythmic movement that naturally encourages lymphatic flow.

  • Low-impact on joints while still engaging the core and stabilizing muscles.

  • Can be used in short, playful sessions that feel approachable and sustainable.

  • Supports circulation and coordination while keeping movement light and enjoyable.

Most days, this doesn’t look like a perfectly timed routine or a neatly stacked wellness checklist. It looks like layering support into what’s already happening.

I’ll walk on the pad while answering emails or outlining content, letting movement happen without needing extra motivation. A pedometer stays on simply to notice patterns—not to chase numbers or goals (I actually keep the pedometer on my desk so it only tracks those steps). The vibration plate usually shows up in short bursts, especially on days when I’ve been sitting more than I realized or feel a little sluggish.

None of this is rigid. Some days I move more, some days less. The goal isn’t to do everything—it’s to keep the body gently engaged and supported throughout the day in ways that feel sustainable. Over time, those small inputs add up to better circulation, more consistent energy, and a body that feels a little more at ease doing what it was designed to do.
